She's right. I do my best not to piss off any bears I may encounter, so sticking with beer... which I also avoid, actually... is probably a good thing to do. So, my apologies to any bears in the viewing audience, and thanks to Rose for pointing out my error. I raise my glass of non-bear to you.

Actually, it's a bottle of Sprite. But based on the ingredients listed on the side of the bottle, it is indeed a non-bear drink. Of course, you can never really be sure. After all, they don't say what is really in hot dogs, but we all know it's some icky stuff.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yes, here in the U.S. we celebrate the holiday by wearing green clothes, drinking green bear, eating green food, and getting extremely drunk to the point where we actually turn green ourselves. What we won't do for tradition.

Actually, I won't be doing any of the above things, except possibly the green clothing thing. And I'll listen to some music by The Corrs (they're Irish). Yeah. Sounds like a plan.

In other news, I just finished reading part four of Considerable Appeal by KM Moon (http://merwolf.com/academy/fanfic/k/km_considerableappeal4.html) and it tugged on my heart strings big time. I love that story. Read it (it's unfinished) and it's predecessor Undeniable (http://merwolf.com/academy/fanfic/k/km_undeniable1.html) if you haven't already. Both stories are just plain awesome.

In other, other news, did you know I'm a complete moron? Wait... don't answer that. Anyway, I was making a list yesterday of office supplies I need to purchase, among them ink cartridges for my printer. Well, today it dawned on me I have ink refills for the color cartridge. I'm an idiot. It's not like the refill kit wasn't just sitting right there on the shelf next to me or anything.

So I refilled the cartridge and ended up with very bright and colorful fingers. Yeah, sure I could have used gloves, but where's the full in that? It was like dying Easter eggs.

But I do need a black cartridge, so maybe that makes me only half an idiot. Then again, maybe not.

In our lovely Beyond Uber editor Raven news, she was to get her brand new TV delivered today, but alas, it won't arrive until next Saturday. This is the second one she's had to buy, as the first was... well, it was crap. Then she found out the order to have it delivered was cancelled for some unknown reason by the store, so she's having to wait again. I feel for her. I do. She did just bought a bunch of DVDs, and she doesn't have her spiffy new TV to watch them on. It's sad. I admire her perseverance in the face of such diversity. Sympathy cards can be sent to ravensnevermore@home.com .

Right now, Tango the Wonder Kitten and Kira the Pupper Dog are playing under the edge of my bed's comforter. Yesterday, Kira gave Tango a Rod Stewart spiked haircut buy washing Tango's head. For quite a while. It was really quite adorable. I should have taken a picture.

I'm pretty sure her working so much has severely cut into her uber reading time, in fact. This is dangerous. She might have to resort to reading uber on her Palm handheld when she's driving, bathing, sleeping... you know, things like that. We should all be very scared now.

I've discovering the disturbing fact I can't read uber when riding my Honda scooter. Okay, I *could* read when riding it, but I have a strong feeling it would be a very short trip.

Speaking of short (hey, no wise cracks about my height, Raven!), the update is just that. There's more to post, but since I'm gonna fall asleep here any minute, it's gonna have to wait. My plan is to catch up this weekend, but we all know how my plans go. We'll see what happens. :)

But on the Raven Life Recommends Front if you own a DVD player.. run do not walk to Netflix.com. This is a totally cool service to rent DVD's by mail at a very reasonable rate and for those net and tv addicted like myself a must have. I ordered my first movies on Saturday and two arrived today. Now I can send them back and get even more.. unlimited straight to my home and no late fees.. Heaven :) heeh ok heaven without chocolate:)

Picture me, if you will, doing a festive happy dance. Ummm... eh. Forgive me if this conjures a less than pleasing image, as that was not my intention. If it helps, picture either Lucy Lawless or Renee O'Connor (or both... together, even... maybe that dance from Heart of Darkness?) doing a happy dance. Heck, if it works for ya, you can even picture J... Jo... Jox... oh, you know, that guy with the silly hat, doing a happy dance.

The reason for all this dancing -- I received a surprised birthday package from our lovely Beyond Uber editor Raven today. It contained, among other things, "Destiny's Crossing" by Carrie Carr!!!!!! And, be still my beating heart, a Gabrielle t-shirt!!!!!

And See's Chocolate. Life just can't get any better.

So, it all boils down to this -- I get to wear Gabrielle, spend time with Lex and Amanda, and eat chocolate during the whole thing. *sigh* Wonderful.

For the record, I'll be a whopping 27 on my birthday. Do I still fit into the "old enough to know better, but still to young to care" category? Is there really a set age for that? Not that it really fits me, anyway. I just thought I'd check.

In other news, I've dubbed my Honda scooter "The Purple Plaything" since it's both purple and fun (how truly clever of me, eh? :) ). I should get that painted on the side of the scooter. Or the side of my helmet. Or maybe I'll just scream it as I cruise down the road. Whatever works.

I had to put some gas in the scooter today, as it was about half empty/full. It cost $0.80. I think I can afford that.

In update news, pardon any duplicate updates I've posted that Raven has already posted. I'm all confused on where we are. Not that this is different from usual. So, if there are repeats... um... well, just read them again! Yeah, that's it. And if I've missed anything... blame the chocolate. It's distracting me. ;)
