Update by Peggy

Well, thank you everyone for your lovely email to congratulate me on my graduations. I had to take some time off to recover from it. My folks were visiting me and boy am I glad they don't live in the same state as me. I was exhausted after their visit. As for my poor house I don't think it'll ever be the same again. Being the kind and wonderful parents they help tidy the place up. I now have almost nothing green in my backyard, just a large piece of black plastic, a few rocks to hold it down and a few tree stumps.

  • Miriam & Esther By Belle Sherry posted on Academy of Bards [alt/original/complete] (Beyond Uber Alt)
The title characters in MIRIAM AND ESTHER find each other in the most unlikely of places, a small Texas town called Cool Lake, and together they become the heart and soul of this likable romance. Miriam escapes the big city on a quest to regain her sanity after Dr. Grace, the "conductor of evil," emotionally destroys her. She makes a new life for herself in Cool Lake only to discover that just below the surface, the town hides a wicked secret of its own. Unlike Miriam, the challenge of self-employment and the hope of success brings Esther to Cool Lake, where she toils to expand on what she believes to be a good thing, twinkle lights and all.

Talking with Taleweaver

I've always loved writing, now more than ever. I've recently been priviledged to call Lori L. Lake (of Gun Shy, and Under the Gun fame), my writing mentor, and she's turned my thoughts to the finer points of writing and creativity. All of this has me thinking about my motivations and ambitions for my writing. This can only be good, and will hopefully lead to a collection of short stories.
I want to thank the fine folks that have written to ask about my book, A Thousand Shades of Feeling. You can find an excerpt, cover and ordering info at the Thousand Shades product page. Thanks go also to Raven for letting me go on about the book here on her webspace. Have you supported your local independent bookseller lately? Without us, they cannot survive in this dog-eat-dog world. Drop by, they may have something you just HAVE to read! By the way, for those of you keeping track ... I DID quit smoking! Happy reading!

Update by Peggy

Hi everyone, finally I have time to ramble. I can't decide if I love or hate Thursday. Last Thursday night I came home from work to find someone has broken into my house, busted the door, and stole my partner's jewelry and all my graduating presents. This Thursday, 8 May 2003 however is a very important day to me. After 5 long year working full time and studying part time I graduate from University with a Bachelor degree. Yeah!

Talking with Taleweaver

Wow! Is it really May already? My youngest son will be three this coming Saturday, and I’m already wondering where the time went.
He’s grown so much in the past year, both physically and developmentally. I’ve done some growing of my own this year too, in many ways, and I have fan fiction to thank for some of that growth.
Shortly after I saw Lucy for the first time, I made my way into the Xenaverse. What a ride that’s been! But I didn’t stop there, I grew into Uber, and eventually a book of my own, due out in a couple of weeks.
So I can tell you with great honesty that the bards really do appreciate getting your emails. Sometimes even a short note telling them your favourite part of their story can make one’s day.
I enjoy a friendship with an “infamous” bard in England, and that friendship was started with just one e-mail.
E-mail your favourite bard(s) today and let them know you appreciate all their hard work.
So while my son grows up and gets ready for his first tricycle, I’ll do some growing of my own and get ready for the nicotine patch. Happy reading, Taleweaver

  • Airwaves By Zee [Alt/Original] posted on Academy of Bards (Beyond Uber Alt)
What happens when you use to be a big fish in a big pond and now your a little fish in a little pond but still have the big fish attitude? Jessica is going to find out. Coming from a cushy news anchor job at a large market TV station and sinking to the small time news host position at the local NPR affiliate might just drive Jessica insane, but to top it off the only one who will work with her is Sean Wildeman. Sean has the ability to grate on anybody's nerves.
