Hey guys!! Have I got some exciting announcements!
First we have exciting new publishing source for our favorite fan fiction! Take a look at the announcement!
A New Publisher
Brings Innovation to GLBT Literature
Cavalier Press is something new in the publishing world – a small GLBT press with the values and reach of a large house.
In the last 20 years, most of the original GLBT publishing houses were bought up by the big boys – and over time, their imprints were simply allowed to die on the vine. A few valiant survivors struggled on, and in the last couple of years, a number of new small press companies have opened, with varying success.
But the GLBT community deserves choices, deserves good fiction, and deserves a publisher with the sense to reach out, to market effectively, to work hard to get books that we like in the mainstream bookstores. That’s what Cavalier is committed to – providing good stories for the GLBT community that they can easily find, buy, read and enjoy!
Over the next few months, Cavalier will be accepting submissions and will be bringing some outstanding books to market, some from authors you already know and love, others from new folks with talent and skill.
As they say, watch our space at WWW.cavalierpress.com to see what’s new, where you can find our books, and to give us feedback on what you, our readers, would like!
(Raven) I encourage all you writers out there to continue to share your stories and pursue your dream! I have seen so many talented people who just started writing for fun become published authors! Make your dreams come true!!
Now I have another treat for you ... Yes .. a ramble and from one of my favorite authors who just released a new story Indian Summer by.. Anne Azel!! Now hereeees... Anne!!
Winter in Canada is divided into two halves, the joy of winter sports and the despair that spring might never come. I am now well into the second phase. It is not that I don't enjoy winter, it's just enough is enough. If that groundhog does not pop up soon and face teh elements like a man, I am going to be grabbing the fluffy little beast by its tail and shake it untill its eyeballs fall out.
The Celts, this time of year, would take all the left over grain and make buns as a sign to the gods that they trusted them to bring warmer weather. This practice was so ingrained that the early Christian Church could not stamp out the pagan custom and so they passed a law stating each bun had to have a cross on it. So started the tradition of the hot cross bun. The Jews make unleavened bread in the spring and the Poles have a tradition of making a donut filled with raspberry, lemon, or fig preserves called a paczki. (pronounced punchkey) I think what the Xenaverse needs is a food to call our own to offer the gods in the hopes spring will return. Surely, there must be an Amazon out there with a domestic bone in her body that could start this great, new tradition and save the northern hemisphere from eternal winter? I'm desprate.
The good side of winter is that I have had lots of time to write. So please look for my latest postings. There is a short story called "The Perfect Moment" and an epilogue to the Seasons Series entitled " Indian Summer". My Encounter Series is still available in book form through Dare2Dream http://www.limitlessd2d.net And look for the first printing of my Journeys Series to be brought out by D2D in the spring.
Best Wishs to you all!!
